Diana Upton-Hill

Diana Upton-Hill has performed on live television, thrilled concert hall audiences as a featured performer with symphony orchestras, and lent her voice to major musical theatre roles including Belle in "Disney's Beauty and the Beast", Annie Oakley in "Annie Get Your Gun", Lucy Harris in "Jekyll and Hyde", and most recently as "Mistress Mary" in GOVAP's production "A Time Out of Rhyme" held in Ottumwa's Bridge View Center–in conjunction with Fairfield’s Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts.

In May 2007 Diana graduated from

Susan K. Johnson

Susan K. Johnson has expanded her successful role with GOVAP. The last two years she has been the accompanist for both GOVAP’s children’s choruses. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. with a B.A. degree in music education. 

She has been teaching general music at Sigourney Elementary School since 1984 teaching thousands of students. She developed a 5th and 6th grade chorus that has sung notably at the Iowa Music Educator State Convention. She’s had students accepted in the Iowa Opus Honor Choir every year since 1996 and has accompanied the Mt. Pleasant Honor Choir (S.E. Division) for the past 4 years.

She is the organist and choir director at First Lutheran Church in Ottumwa (26 years) and a member of the American Choral Directors Association and of Delta Kappa Gamma.
